ROUTE: Kimberley – Upington – Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park – Upington – Augrabies Falls National Park

Day One
• Arrive in Kimberley Kimberley is the capital and only city in the Northern Cape Province. Kimberley is in the centre of South Africa and also known as the Diamond City.
• Transfer to the Australian Arms to freshen up
This four star accommodation establishment is situated on the premises of one of South Africa’s most known icon and tourism attractions – The Big Hole. The Lodge consists of several authentic building dating back to the late 1800’s. This guest house will take you back to the days of the Diamond Rush known as the era of fame, fashion and wealth.

• Kamfers Dam, frequented by the largest permanent population of Lesser Flamingos in southern Africa. Africa’s only artificial flamingo breeding island, and a variety of other interesting waterbirds, such as Black-necked Grebe and Chestnut-branded Plover
• Overnight at Australian Arms

Day Two
• Enjoy early morning breakfast
• Depart for Upington
Upington is the principal town and commercial, educational and social centre of the Green Kalahari region, owing its prosperity to agriculture and its irrigated lands along the Orange River. Upington enjoys a summer rainfall and a hot climate.
• Enjoy lunch
• Depart for Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park
Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park – One of the world’s last truly unspoilt ecosystems. The park, at 2.7 million hectares, is one of the largest conservation areas in the world, almost twice the size of Kruger National Park. The park consists of three rest camps (Twee Rivieren, Nossob and Mata-Mata) and six new unfenced wilderness camps (Kalahari Tented Camp, Bitterpan, Grootkolk, Kielie Krankie, Urikaruuus and Gharagab).
• Arrive in the park and check in
• Spend the afternoon in the park enjoying the world’s last truly unspoilt ecosystems. Enjoy a game drive to discover the unique species of Antelope and other animals indigenous to the Kalahari. Game such as, gemsbok, springbok, blue wildebeest, and red hartebeest are seen very often. The Park is well known for good sightings of lion and cheetah and is a bird watcher’s paradise with more than 20 larger raptor species.

• Depart for Augrabies Falls National Park
Augrabies is where the mighty Orange River is at its most impressive as it thunders its way through a ravine and into a pool walled by sheer granite, creating the world’s sixth largest waterfall.
• Light lunch at the restaurant
• View the falls
• Afternoon at leisure
• Enjoy dinner at the restaurant
• Overnight at Augrabies Falls National Park
