- Integrated Community Development Planning (5-day nationally accredited certification short course)

- 26 - 30 August 2013;
- 28 October - 1 November 2013.
Local, provincial and national government officials in planning: IDP,
community development, policy making, human settlements / housing,
social development, communication, Thusong Centre Managers, health,
environmental management, Parliamentary
officials and related fields and change agents from NGOs and CBOs.
Civil society organisations (Lions, Round Table, Rotaries, church,
school governing and sport bodies, etc.) and research institutes have an
interest. Both programmes are of particular relevance for community
development workers and community members
interested in local capacity-building.
The programmes integrate international / national principles, theory and
planning and management guidelines. Inter-active and participatory
training and facilitation methods are used, as well as a close link to
social research methods and the
principles of the learning organisation for organisational management.
Programmes run with 15 - 30 participants in attendance.
Alternative dates to the above can be discussed with the Programme
Manager. Programmes can, depending on circumstance, be presented at the
client’s location. Programme cost is R8 600, including everything, but accommodation. Accommodation
is available at the Bellville Park Campus.
