NSTF Discussion Forum Ethics and Professional Integrity

19 March 2015 Emperors Palace, Convention Centre, Kempton Park, Gauteng This is a FREE workshop for employees/members of NSTF Member Organisations!

What do Ethics have to do with Science? Do our engineers and other professionals have enough professional integrity to avoid disasterous consequences? This discussion forum will shed some light on these (mostly invisible) issues.
There are now various measures and structures in place in SA to promote ethical practice. At this discussion forum you’ll hear an overview of these in relation to science and engineering practices. Then we would like you to consider and express your opinion on whether these measures are sufficient, well known, well inforced, and whether they are too time consuming, getting in the way of the work that has to be done. We’ll report back on the brief survey NSTF
conducted among our newsletter readers. It is essential for us, and for the sake of inclusive consultation, to have as many role players and stakeholders together in order to reach consensus and make informed recommendations.
