3-Day Master Training Workshop for Conveners and Citizen Leaders

Due to the huge demand after our successful workshops last year the Democracy Development Programme (DDP) is once again hosting a Connecting Community workshop facilitated by Dr. Rama Naidu.
  • When Jul 29, 2013 08:00 AM to Jul 31, 2013 04:30 PM (Africa/Johannesburg / UTC186)
  • Add event to calendar iCal

This is an intense 3-day process that will equip you to:

  1. Facilitate powerful transformative dialogues;
  2. Experience a new way of working that is citizen centered;
  3. Design spaces that help build social fabric and promote both accountability and commitment.

Based on the iconic work of Peter Block, the workshop will provide space for learning, reflection and practice and promises to be a life changing experience.

This is what some of our past participants had to say about the workshop:

 “Surprisingly I found that probably for most of us we’ve been involved in what we are doing for a particular long time. We’ve been through so many workshops of various natures and have even stagnated in our set believes as leaders practitioners. This workshop is a transformation of our believer in our thinking and should be an entry for anyone waiting to work in community development and organisational structures.” - development practitioner

“It was a learning curve. I reached a point where I observed myself with regards to my thinking of leadership sphere. As leaders we need to show harmony in the community and also change the manner in which we approach and engage with leaders.” -
community worker

“For me it cannot be ‘business as usual’ anymore. It made me look at my role in community, relooking at how I do business in the community.” - councilor

The DDP is committed to strengthening civil society organisations by providing workshops that build on our own experiences and by using the best facilitators in the field of work

Join us for this exciting opportunity to learn about this transformative methodology.
