Internship for the SAEON Arid Node, Kimberley, Northern Cape
The position is a one year (12 month) contract.
The intern will be based at the Tierberg Karoo Research Centre, Prince Albert.
The duties will include:
• Assisting with field work at the Tierberg Karoo Research Centre;
• Data capture and data-related tasks;
• Assistance with administrative duties, and science education outreach.
Requirements:
• A completed post-graduate science degree (preferably an MSc), majoring in Ecology, Vegetation studies or Conservation.
• Language proficiency in English, Afrikaans and other local languages.
• Technical skills related to environmental monitoring, and able to conduct field work in remote areas.
Remuneration:
• Interns will receive a monthly salary depending on their level of qualification.
• Relocation costs will be for the candidate’s own expense.
