Mrs Irenie Chakoma

Irenie Chakoma is a Research Associate based at the International Livestock Research Institute (ILRI), Harare, Zimbabwe. She holds a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Zimbabwe, Bachelor of Science Degree in Agriculture from Larenstein University, Netherlands and Diploma in Agriculture from Chibero Agricultural College, Zimbabwe. She has over twenty years’ experience in agricultural research for development, working with smallholder farming communities, developing adaptable business models and linking them to markets. Other areas of interest are forage seed production and marketing, agribusiness for rural development and project management. She possesses vast experience as researcher, project analyst, development practitioner, monitoring and evaluation specialist, and marketer.
