We are looking for individuals who have a passion for making a difference in the lives of people around the world. We are currently recruiting for the following positions based in Pretoria:

Monitoring and Evaluation Specialist:

  • A minimum of a Master’s Degree in Demography, Statistics, Geography or any other related field;
  • Good command of both written and spoken English;
  • Exposure to and understanding of environmental issues (specifically climate change adaptation and biodiversity conservation) preferred;
  • Minimum of  five years of professional monitoring and evaluation experience;
  • Experience working with sub-contractors / partners / grantees in climate change adaptation and environmental related issues;
  • Possess people skills and ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders;
  • Strong technical writing and supervisory skills;
  • Proactive individual with a positive attitude willing to work in team settings.
Outreach Communication Specialist:
  • A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in communication and outreach, journalism, media studies and any other related field;
  • Good command of both written and spoken English;
  • Knowledge of cultural and communication norms and expectations in Mozambique, Zimbabwe, Botswana, and South Africa;
  • Exposure to and understanding of environment-related technical terminology preferred;
  • Knowledge of key factors in the Limpopo Basin desirable;
  • Minimum four years of communications and outreach experience;
  • Experience working with sub-contractors / partners / grantees in communication and outreach related matters;
  • Proactive individual with a positive attitude willing to work in team settings.
Integrated Water Resource Management Specialist:
  • A minimum of a Master’s Degree in water resources / watershed management, wetland ecology, natural resources management, hydrology, environmental science or any other related field;
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in IWRM or any other relevant technical area;
  • Strong knowledge of IWRM issues, programmes, and institutions in the Southern Africa region;
  • Experience in IWRM donor-funded project implementation especially in the sectors of environment, natural resource management / IWRM;
  • Strong technical writing and supervisory skills;
  • Possess people skills and ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders;
  • A good knowledge of use of GIS to produce products and tools to review and implement management solutions for IWRM.
